Position: Fundraising Coordinatorative

Time Commitment: Flexible schedule with the ability to work remotely as needed

Location: 1292 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, ON M6E 1C1  

Position Summary:

The fundraising coordinator will support achieving after BREAST CANCER’s income targets.  Self-motivation, team and detail-oriented skills are qualities necessary for success in this role of providing assistance to the PR/Marketing team with an emphasis on fundraising events, promotion, administrative duties as well as handle your own fundraising-related projects as assigned.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets
  • Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
  • Produce cost-effective budgets to achieve action plans
  • Support the Fundraising Manager in the production of effective, high quality proposals and report
  • Coach the fundraising team to reach their individual income targets
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder, client and donor relationships
  • Participate in scheduled after BREAST CANCER events

Qualifications: 

  • Educational qualification (diploma or post-graduate program) in fundraising is an asset
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar fundraising and management role
  • Knowledge of the fundraising environment and of a range techniques and disciplines which will generate income for charity
  • Demonstrable track record of strategic fundraising
  • Strong persuasion skills, both written and oral
  • Passion for making a difference and helping others

Start Date:  Immediately

Term:  Interns MUST work minimum 20 hours a week or more 

Remuneration:   Transportation costs to and from (public transit or parking)

  • To provide women with limited financial resources and NO insurance with mastectomy bras, mastectomy camisoles, and breast prostheses at no cost to them after breast removal surgery (mastectomy or lumpectomy).
  • To identify underserved areas in breast cancer survivorship that lack resources and provide evidence-based information that can facilitate informed decision-making on issues related to breast cancer survivorship.
